CTA Free University Credit Program
CTA is currently paying for 6 university units during the school year (September - May) and an additional 6 units during the summer for any active member, literally no cost to the member. Additionally, there is an option to buy three more units at a discounted rate of $85 each during both the school year and again during the summer session. CTA members can earn these units every year for as long as CTA continues this program. The credits are through CSU Chico.
EGEA has created a workshop as well a step-by-step guide to help you take advantage of this valuable member benefit. This EGEA workshop is offered a few times a year. Register in PL Essentials by searching for the course title "CTA/EGEA Members Only - University Credit Program and Virtual Pass for External Credit" or course code #13817. Participants can earn 90 minutes of salary credit for attending. During this workshop we will go over how to navigate the CTA Free University Credit Program as well as the EGUSD PL Essentials External Credit Request system in order to help you advance on the salary scale. This EGEA workshop is NOT required to participate in the CTA University Credit program.
